Sr. Adv. Manjeet Singh Dalal

Senior Guidance and Principal Authority

Designated Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India | Licensed Barrister, Canada  |  Former Additional Advocate General, Delhi

Manjeet Singh Dalal is the guiding light of Rathee & Associates, a counsel whose stature and standing have been shaped over decades of practice at the highest levels of the Indian legal system. The Designation of Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court of India is among the most honourable distinctions the Indian legal profession confers, and Mr. Dalal carries it alongside his standing as a licensed Barrister in Canada. His dual standing across two legal systems is not merely a qualification; it is a reflection of a career built on the highest standards of the profession, in two countries.

A former Additional Advocate General (AAG) for Delhi, Mr. Dalal has appeared at the apex level of Indian constitutional and commercial litigation, representing governmental and institutional interests before the Supreme Court of India in proceedings of significant public and legal consequence. His appellate practice is characterised by command over constitutional doctrine, precision in argument and a strategic approach to high-value, high-complexity disputes.

Currently based in Canada, Mr. Dalal heads the firm’s Global Mobility and Cross-Border Disputes Practice. He advises clients on international business law, multi-jurisdictional dispute resolution, immigration litigation, residency and work authorisation, and regulatory compliance across India and North America. He provides strategic oversight on the firm’s international mandates, ensuring that cross-border matters, whether commercial, constitutional or mobility-related, are handled with the full benefit of his experience in both legal systems.

Mr. Dalal remains the firm’s guiding presence and senior mentor. The team turns to him on questions of constitutional strategy, international legal dimension and matters carrying the highest institutional stakes. His continued engagement with the firm’s direction and its most significant work is the thread that connects the firm’s heritage with its contemporary practice.
