Rathee & Associates is a full-service litigation and dispute resolution firm based in Delhi, appearing before the Supreme Court of India, the Delhi High Court, and district courts, as well as specialised forums including the National Company Law Tribunal, the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal, the Debt Recovery Tribunal, and consumer forums. Built on three decades of courtroom practice and public legal service, the firm advises individuals, corporations, and institutions on matters that range from constitutional and regulatory questions to commercial disputes, insolvency, criminal defence, and family law.
The firm’s leadership reflects this breadth. Sanjay Kumar Rathee, the founding partner, has practised before the Supreme Court of India for over thirty years and served as Additional Advocate General and Deputy Advocate General for the State of Haryana, with a parallel practice in regulatory law and corporate advisory before central government and statutory bodies. Manjeet Dalal, a Designated Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court of India, a licensed Barrister in Canada, and a former Additional Advocate General for Delhi, leads the firm’s constitutional litigation and its Global Mobility and Cross-Border Disputes Practice, giving clients a direct line into international business law and multi-jurisdictional matters spanning India and North America.
Arbitration is a defining strength of the practice. The firm’s dispute resolution team handles institutional and ad-hoc arbitration matters, commercial ADR proceedings, and mediation, from the drafting of arbitration and dispute resolution clauses through to representation in proceedings and the enforcement of arbitral awards and settlements, with a research-driven approach grounded in advanced academic training in the field. This capability sits alongside, and is reinforced by, the firm’s standing litigation and commercial practice, allowing clients to move between negotiated resolution and courtroom advocacy within a single team rather than switching counsel mid-dispute.
